EP Review by The Sirens Sound

We’d like to thank The Sirens Sound for their positive review of our EP, comparing it to Arcade Fire and The Divine Comedy.

“This kinda reminds me a bit of The Divine Comedy and The Arcade Fire. The sound is not necessarily the same, though, but it’s what comes to mind from the word go. Very energetic and rhythmic sound that tends to flow between high and low keys. I admit it’s really beautiful though. Very hard to tag as well. For The Birds is on purchase only at this point but if you can go get it or at least give it a thorough listen. I did and I dig from the very beginning. Lyrics are quite good as well.”

CD Release Show on May 18th

For the Birds EP Has Arrived!

Our debut EP, For the Birds, has finally arrived! If you’d like to order a copy from us directly, send us an email at greatersirens@gmail.com. Otherwise, we’ll have the EP available at our shows, the next being May 18th at Roosters in Alameda.

For the Birds will also be available on iTunes and other online stores within the next week or two, and we’ll announce that as soon as it’s up.

For the Birds EP Coming Soon

After months of recording, mixing, listening, and making changes, our debut EP, For the Birds, has finally been sent off to be pressed! We expect to have it available for purchase at our shows and online by early May.

The track list will be as follows:

  3. Rowboats
  4. Small Wood Room
  5. The Overlook
  6. Cardinal

For the Birds was recorded at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley between April and July, 2011. It was engineered by Jesse Nichols, who also co-produced with us. The artwork was designed by Randall Jue.
